If you are getting fed up with your dog always trying to hump you, other people, and other dogs, then start right now by teaching them that it is an unacceptable behavior.
Dogs naturally hump things, it is what dogs do. But since dogs have to live with us humans, it is now considered unacceptable.
One of the easiest ways to stop this behavior is to have your dog neutered. Neutering alone can really decrease the amount of humping done.
If you do catch your dog humping you need to instantly correct him. Grab his scruff and pull him off and in a commanding voice say "NO."
Another option is to keep a leash on your dog and use that to pull him off.
The key is instant correction. If you try to punish the dog for humping two minutes after he did it, he will not be able to associated the punishment with the behavior.
